In June 1941, Germany invaded the Soviet Union, along with Finland, Romania, and other Axis nations. Germany was seeking another lightning victory, like those attained in Poland, France, and elsewhere: four years and millions of lives later, Soviet troops captured Berlin and forced the Germans to surrender.
Quartermaster General: East Front™ is the first 2-player game using the popular Quartermaster General game system and depicts the deadly struggle between the Soviet Union and Germany. The game is played over 16 game rounds, each representing 3 months, starting in Summer 1941 and ending in Spring 1945. The game is won by accumulating Victory Points (VPs), most of which will be awarded for controlling geographical objectives during the four annual scoring rounds.
In Quartermaster General: East Front one player commands the Axis and the other the Allies (Soviets). The Axis has two factions, Germany, and Pact. The Pact represents the nations that fought alongside Germany in World War II - signatories of the Tripartite Pact, plus Finland. The two sides play very differently and have their own strengths and weaknesses. The Axis must use their initial advantage to seize as much territory as possible – the Soviets begin with 10 Victory stars and the Axis just 7. As the Allies, the player needs to cobble together a defense that selectively destroys advancing Axis elements while still maintaining a solid line – and whenever possible, keep reserves ready for a counterattack.
East Front is a fast-playing card-driven game which provides an in-depth look at one of the major operational theaters of World War 2, allowing players to recreate this historical conflict in less than 2 hours.
Rockin' B Games is a family owned and operated small business established in the Fall of 2010.
