Take command of the valiant Marines of the 1st Marine Division, supported by Soldiers of the 164th Infantry Regiment, desperately defending Henderson Field against waves of Japanese troops. Low on supplies and ammunition the Marines must protect the airfield from capture to prevent Vice Admiral Nagumo’s approaching carrier group utilizing land-based aircraft to inflict a decisive attack on the US Navy in the Solomons.

Guadalcanal - The Battle for Henderson Field is a solitaire wargame fought simultaneously at the tactical and operational level. Counters representing historical USMC and IJA combatants fight tactical battles while USMC Operations cards are used to command the Cactus Air Force, 1st Division HQ and Task Force 62. The Imperial Japanese Army AI is controlled by a deck of cards that simulate Banzai charges, bombers from Rabaul, and Takama’s No. 2 Bombardment Force. Optional rules and cards allow for limitless game play, including 2 and 3-player options.
