Echoes of my footsteps and drips of water fill the catacomb. I turn another corner, I think I see a shadow move. Just my eyes playing tricks.

"Easy treasure they said."

Then it starts. At first just a low guttural chewing noise, but soon it became a loud chittering. I couldn't place the noise or was I surrounded by the noise.

"Easy treasure they said."

I finally reach the room. I see the treasure gleaming in the torch light. Elation and relief course through my body but then I see several sets of large beady black soulless eyes staring at me.
